# The Merchant Shipping (Port State Control) (Amendment) Regulations 2003, Regulation 3: Amendment of Merchant Shipping (Port State Control) Regulations 1995


For regulation 2(1) there shall be substituted:
“(1) This Part of these Regulations implements in the United Kingdom Directive 95/21/EC of the Council of 19th June 1995 on port State control of shipping as amended by:
(a) Commission Directive 96/40/EC;
(b) Council Directive 98/25/EC;
(c) Commission Directive 98/42;
(d) Commission Directive 1999/97/EC;
(e) Directive 2001/106/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council; and
(f) Directive 2002/84/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council
(in these Regulations referred to as the “Council Directive”).”.
