  "heading": "Time and manner of the giving of a merger notice",
  "text": "(1) A merger notice shall be given by being delivered in writing to the office of the Director by hand or by post.\n(2) Subject to paragraph (3) below, a merger notice shall be treated as having been received at the office of the Director on the day on which it is in fact delivered to that office.\n(3) Where a merger notice is delivered to the office of the Director on any day which is not a working day or after 5.00 p.m. on any working day, it shall be treated as having been received on the next working day.\n(4) Section 7 of the Interpretation Act 1978 shall not apply to the giving of a merger notice in accordance with this regulation.",
