Explanatory note

This Order revokes two Orders made to prevent prejudicial action during investigation by the Monopolies and Mergers Commission of proposed mergers between Myson Group plc and (i) Blue Circle Industries plc and (ii) Yale Valor plc respectively. The two earlier Orders prohibited Blue Circle from taking its holding of Myson shares over the level which it held when the Order applying to it was made, prohibited Yale from taking its holding over 15 per cent, and prohibited both from exercising 15 per cent or more of voting rights in Myson or making agreements with others to secure control of Myson. Blue Circle and Yale are now released from those prohibitions. The relevant reports of the Monopolies and Mergers Commission are Cm 916 and Cm 915, published by Her Majesty’s Stationery Office.
