# Metropolitan Streets Act 1867, Section 22: Placards, &c. may be affixed to lamp posts.

. . . the Commissioner of Police may cause to be attached to any lamp post any placard or signal he may think expedient for the purpose of carrying into effect the provisions of this Act.
