  "text": "(This note is not part of the Regulations)\nThese Regulations implement Commission Regulation (EEC) No. 261/87 (O.J. No. L26, 29.1.1987, p.18) amending Commission Regulation (EEC) No. 2321/86 (O.J. L202, 25.7.1986, p.13) as regards the submission of applications for compensation for the definitive discontinuation of milk production, and increase compensation payable under Council Regulation (EEC) No. 1336/86 (O.J. No. L119, 8.5.1986, p.21) fixing compensation for the definitive discontinuation of milk production. They amend the Milk (Community Outgoers' Scheme) (Scotland) Regulations 1986 (“the principal regulations”).\nThe maximum amount of compensation payable (under regulation 4 of the principal regulations) is increased to 3.927 pence per litre of milk for each year of application (regulation 2(2)).\nThe time limit (set by regulation 6 of the principal regulations) after which an applicant may not withdraw his application is extended to 13th March 1987 (regulation 2(3)).\nWhere a landlord’s consent is required (under regulation 7 of the principal regulations) an application will only be valid if that consent has been given or unreasonably refused by 13th March 1987 (regulation 2(4)).",
