# The Mines and Quarries (Tipping Plans) Rules 1971, Article 3: Application


The provisions of these rules shall apply to all such plans and sections of active or closed tips associated with mines and quarries and to all such sections of the strata underlying these tips as are required to be kept in pursuance of regulations 13(c) and 20(1)(c) of the Mines and Quarries (Tips) Regulations 1971 .
