(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations relate to vehicles used under permits issued under section 19 of the Transport Act 1985. The Regulations make provision regarding —

(1)

conditions to be fulfilled by the driver (regulation 3);

(2)

fees for permits (regulation 4);

(3)

the form of permits (regulation 5);

(4)

the issue, form and display of discs (regulation 6);

(5)

the issue of duplicate permits and discs (regulation 7);

(6)

the return of permits and discs when the validity of permits terminates (regulation 8);

(7)

conditions of fitness for use of a small bus (regulation 9); and

(8)

transitional provisions relating to permits granted or having effect as if granted under section 42 of the Public Passenger Vehicles Act 1981.
