# The Montserrat Constitution Order 1989, Paragraph 32: Filling of vacancies.


(1) Whenever the seat of a nominated member of the Legislative Council becomes vacant the vacancy shall be filled by appointment by the Governor in accordance with the provisions of this Constitution.
(2) Whenever the seat of an elected member of the Legislative Council becomes vacant the vacancy shall be filled by election in accordance with any law in force in Montserrat in that behalf.
