  "text": "Any question whether—\n(a) any person has been validly elected as a member of the Legislative Assembly; or\n(b) any elected member of the Assembly has vacated his or her seat in the Assembly or is required by virtue of section 53(4) to cease to perform his or her functions as a member,\nshall be referred to and determined by the High Court in accordance with any law in force in Montserrat and, subject to any such law, in accordance with any directions given by the Chief Justice.",
