  "text": "(This note is not part of the Regulations)\nThese Regulations increase some of the fees payable under the Motor Vehicle (Driving Licences) Regulations 1999.\nRegulation 4 amends the fees payable upon application for a practical or a unitary driving test where the application is made on or after the coming into force of these Regulations. The following tables show the new fees with the percentage increase in brackets. The fees were last increased on 14th November 2002.\nORDINARY TESTS\nType of vehicle\nTest commenced during normal hours\nTest commenced at any other time\nMotor bicycles and mopeds\n£51.00 (6.3%)\n£60.00 (5.3%)\nMotor cars, tractors and other minor categories\n£42.00 (7.7%)\n£51.00 (6.3%)\nLorries, buses and vehicle-plus-trailer combinations\n£80.00 (5.3%)\n£98.00 (4.3%)\nEXTENDED TESTS\nType of vehicle\nTest commenced during normal hours\nTest commenced at any other time\nMotor bicycles and mopeds\n£102.00 (6.3%)\n£120.00 (5.3%)\nMotor cars, tractors and other minor categories\n£84.00 (7.7%)\n£102.00 (6.3%)\nRegulation 3 changes the times that represent “normal hours” for commencing a practical or unitary driving test.\nThese Regulations are made in conjunction with the Motor Cars (Driving Instruction) (Amendment) Regulations 2004.
