# The Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Amendment) Regulations 2002, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 14th November 2002
The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 89(3), (4) and (5), 105(1) and (3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988, after consulting with representative organisations in accordance with section 195(2) of that Act and, in the case of regulations 4, 6, 7 and 8 with the approval of the Treasury, hereby makes the following Regulations:
