# The Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Amendment) Regulations 2006, Introduction: Introductory text

Made 27th February 2006
Laid before Parliament 9th March 2006
Coming into force
for all regulations other than regulation 9(3) 1st April 2006
for the purpose of regulation 9(3) 1st July 2007
The Secretary of State for Transport makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 89(3) and (4), 97(3), 105(1) and (3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988.
In accordance with section 195(2) of that Act, he has consulted with such representative organisations as he thinks fit.
