# The Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Amendment) Regulations 2007, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 8th March 2007
Coming into force
for all regulations other than regulation 11 and 14 2nd April 2007
for the purpose of regulation 11 1st May 2007
for the purpose of regulation 14 1st July 2007
The Secretary of State for Transport makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 89(3), (4) and (5), 92(2), 97(1), 105(1), (2), (3) and (4) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and by virtue of the Department of Transport (Fees) Order 1988 and the Department for Transport (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration Fees) Order 2003 and with the approval of the Treasury.
The Secretary of State for Transport has consulted with representative organisations in accordance with section 195(2) of the Road Traffic Act 1988.
