# The Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Amendment) Regulations 2018, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 24th July 2018
The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972.
The Secretary of State is a Minister designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to the licensing of drivers.
