  "text": "(This note is not part of the Regulations)\nThese Regulations amend Schedule 1 to the Motor Vehicles (EC Type Approval) Regulations 1992 and are made in consequence of Commission Directives 94/53/EC, 94/68/EC, 94/78/EC and Directive 94/20/EC which was made by the European Parliament and the Council. These Regulations also correct an error in item 39 of Schedule 1.\nDirective 94/53/EC further amends Council Directive 78/316/EEC relating to the interior fittings of motor vehicles (identification of controls, tell-tales and indicators).\nDirective 94/68/EC amends Council Directive 78/318/EEC relating to the wiper and washer systems of motor vehicles.\nDirective 94/78/EC amends Council Directive 78/549/EEC relating to the wheel guards of motor vehicles.\nDirective 94/20/EC relates to mechanical coupling devices of motor vehicles and their trailers and their attachment to those vehicles.\nCopies of EEC and EC Directives which are relevant to these Regulations can be obtained from Her Majesty’s Stationery Office.
