Paragraph 1 Certain offences not committed where EC certificate of conformity has effect

In section 63 of the 1988 Act (obligatory type approval certificates, certificates of conformity and Minister’s approval certificates) after subsection (1) there shall be inserted—

“(1A)

For the purposes of subsection (1) above a vehicle shall be taken to comply with all relevant type approval requirements if an EC certificate of conformity has effect with respect to the vehicle.”.

(2)

In section 65 of that Act (vehicles and parts not to be sold without required certificate of conformity or Minister’s approval certificate) after subsection (1) there shall be inserted—

“(1A)

For the purposes of subsection (1) above a vehicle shall be taken to comply with all relevant type approval requirements if an EC certificate of conformity has effect with respect to the vehicle.”.
