  "text": "(1) An application for an EC type approval made under the 1980 Regulations or the 1987 Regulations or the Motor Vehicles (EC Type Approval) Regulations 1992 before the coming into force of these Regulations shall have effect as if it had been made under these Regulations.\n(2) Nothing in these Regulations shall affect the validity of anything done under the 1980 Regulations or the 1987 Regulations or the Motor Vehicles (EC Type Approval) Regulations 1992 before the coming into force on these Regulations.\n(3) This regulation does not apply to an application relating to the provisions set out in Part II of Schedule 2 to the 1980 Regulations or Part II of Schedule 3 to the 1987 Regulations.",
