# The Motor Vehicles (Tests) (Amendment) Regulations 2006, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 25th July 2006
Coming into force 8th September 2006
The Secretary of State for Transport makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 45 and 46 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and by virtue of the Department of Transport (Fees) Order 1988.
In accordance with section 195(2) of that Act, he has consulted representatives of those whom he considers to be likely to be affected by the Regulations.
