# The Motor Vehicles (Third Party Risks) (Amendment) Regulations 1981, Introduction: Introductory text

Made 30th October 1981
Laid before Parliament 10th November 1981
Coming into Operation 1st December 1981
The Secretary of State for Transport in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 147 and 157 of the Road Traffic Act 1972, and now vested in him , and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with the provisions of section 199(2) of that Act, hereby makes the following Regulations:—
