  "text": "(1) Part 1 of Schedule 2 to the Motor Vehicles (Type Approval) Regulations 1980 is hereby amended as follows.\n(2) In column 2—\n(a) in item 20, there is added—\n“\nor 76/756/EEC as amended by 80/233/EEC, 82/244/EEC, 83/276/EEC, 84/8/EEC as corrected in O.J. L135, 22.5.1984, p. 27 and 89/278/EEC as corrected in O.J. L114, 27.4.89, p.52\n28 March 1989\nO.J. L109, 20.4.89, P.38\n”;\n(b) in item 23, there is added—\n“\nor 76/759/EEC as amended by 89/277/EEC as corrected by corrigenda published in O.J. L114, 27.4.89, p.52\n28 March 1989\nO.J. L109, 20.4.89, p.25\n”.\n(3) After item 40, there is added the following new item—\n“\n41\n89/297/EEC 13 April 1989\nO.J. Ll24, 5.5.89, p.1\nLateral protection (side guards) of certain motor vehicles and their trailers\n”.",
