# The Motor Vehicles (Type Approval) (Amendment) Regulations 1991, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 30th April 1991
The Secretary of State for Transport, being a Minister designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the EuropeanCommunities Act 1972 in relation to the regulation of the type, description,construction or equipment of vehicles, and of components of vehicles,and in particular any vehicle type approval scheme, in exercise of thepowers conferred by that section and of all other enabling powers,hereby makes the following Regulations:
