# The Motor Vehicles (Type Approval and Approval Marks)(Fees)(Amendment) Regulations 2006, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 23rd June 2006
Coming into force 9th August 2006
The Secretary of State for Transport makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 61(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Act 1988, section 56(1) and (2) of the Finance Act 1973, the Department of Transport (Fees) Order 1988 and section 128 of the Finance Act 1990.
In relation to the exercise of his powers under the Finance Act 1973 he has the consent of the Treasury.
In accordance with section 195(2) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 he has consulted with representatives of those whom he considers to be likely to be affected by the Regulations.
