  "text": "Road Traffic\nMade 21st February 2018\nLaid before Parliament 28th February 2018\nComing into force 20th May 2018\nThe Secretary of State for Transport makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of, and paragraph 1A of Schedule 2 to, the European Communities Act 1972 (“the 1972 Act”) .\nThe Secretary of State is designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the 1972 Act in relation to the regulation of the type, description, construction or equipment of vehicles, and of components of vehicles, and in particular any vehicle type-approval scheme .\nThese Regulations make provision for a purpose mentioned in that section and it appears to the Secretary of State that it is expedient for references in these Regulations (and in the consequential amendments made by these Regulations) to Regulation (EU) No 168/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the approval and market surveillance of two- or three-wheel vehicles and quadricycles to be construed as references to a version of that Regulation as it may be amended from time to time.",
