  "heading": "Short title, commencement and extent.",
  "text": "(1) This Act may be cited as the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency Act 1988.\n(2) This Act shall come into force on such date as the Secretary of State may appoint by an order made by statutory instrument.\n(3) This Act extends to Northern Ireland.\n(4) Her Majesty may by Order in Council make provision for extending the provisions of sections 3, 4, 5 and 6 above, with such modifications and exceptions as may be specified in the Order, to any of the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or any colony.",
