# The Nagoya Protocol (Compliance) Regulations 2015, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 23rd March 2015
Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1
The Secretary of State, who is designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to the environment , makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by that section of that Act.
