# National Heritage Act 1983, Paragraph 36


At the end of section 10(1) of the 1979 Act (compulsory acquisition of ancient monuments by Secretary of State) there shall be inserted “ ; but, where the monument in question is situated in England, he shall consult with the Commission before making a compulsory purchase order. ”
