Section 2

For paragraph 4(2) of Schedule 1 to the National Institutions Measure 1998^f1, there shall be substituted the following sub-paragraph—

“(2)

Members of the Council elected under paragraph 1(1)(d), (e) or (f) above or appointed under paragraph 1(2) above shall serve for such number of years as may be determined in each case by the General Synod, being—

(a)

in the case of members so elected, not less than three and not more than five years, and

(b)

in the case of members so appointed, not less than one year and not more than five years.”.
