# Natural Environment (Scotland) Act 2026, Section 42: Nature conservation marine protected areas: climate adaptation

Extent: S

(1) The Marine (Scotland) Act 2010 is modified as follows.
(2) In section 68 (Nature Conservation MPAs: additional requirements relating to designation), in subsection (7)—
(a) for “may” substitute “must”,
(b) after fourth “to” insert “climate adaptation and”.
