# The NCIS Service Authority (Levying) Order 1997, Article 9: Apportionment of the levies


Once the total amount of the levies has been approved by the Secretary of State or, if no such approval has been given, once the Secretary of State has issued a direction under paragraph 3(1) or (2) of Schedule 3 to the 1997 Act, the total amount of the levies shall be apportioned between police authorities in accordance with the Schedule to this Order.
