Regulation 49 Amendments to the Religious Character of Schools (Designation Procedure) Regulations 1998

Regulation 9 of the Religious Character of Schools (Designation Procedure) Regulations 1998 is amended in relation to Wales as set out in paragraphs (2) and (3).

In paragraph (2) of regulation 9, insert before “Church of England”, the words “new school which is intended to be a”.

(3)

In paragraph (6)(a) of regulation 9, for “(within the meaning of Part III of the Education (New Schools) (Wales) Regulations 1999 or the 1996 Act, as the case may be)” substitute “within the meaning of Part 3 of the New Maintained Schools (Wales) Regulations 2005”.
