# New Schools (General) (England) Regulations 2003, Regulation 48: Delegation of functions


(1) Subject to regulation 49, the temporary governing body of a new school may establish committees and delegate any of their functions to–
(a) a committee,
(b) any temporary governor, or
(c) the head teacher or head teacher designate.
(2) Where the temporary governing body has delegated functions to an individual or to a committee this shall not prevent the temporary governing body from exercising those functions.
(3) The temporary governing body shall review the exercise of functions it has delegated annually.
