# The Newhaven Harbour Revision Order 2016, Article 10: Master’s responsibility in relation to directions


The giving of a general direction or a special direction in respect of or applying to a vessel shall not diminish or in any other way affect the responsibility of the master of the vessel in respect of which the direction is given in relation to the vessel, to persons on board the vessel, to the cargo or to any other person or property.
