  "text": "WEIGHTS AND MEASURES\nMade 17th December 1997\nLaid before Parliament 19th December 1997\nComing into force 1st February 1998\nThe Secretary of State, being a Minister designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to the regulation of specifications, construction, placing on the market and use of equipment intended for weighing, measuring or testing or for purposes ancillary thereto, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by that section, and all other powers enabling her in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:—",
