# The Non-Maintained Special Schools (England) Regulations 2015, Paragraph 17: Suitability of the chair of the governing body

A person must not be appointed as chair of the governing body unless the checks referred to in paragraph 6(2), (3), (4), (5) and (6) have been carried out in relation to that person.
