Article 5 Constitution of education action zone

Changes not yet applied. Later legislation changes this provision in ways not yet written into the text below:

(1)

The Forum may at any time appoint–

(a)

one additional member from persons appearing to them to represent the voluntary sector in the area served by the zone schools;

(b)

one additional member from persons appearing to them to represent Yorkshire Water Plc in the area served by the zone schools;

(c)

one additional member from persons appearing to them to represent the Midland Bank Plc in the area served by the zone schools;

(d)

up to 7 additional members from persons appearing to them to represent the interests of the zone schools;

(e)

one additional member who shall be a parent of a child of compulsory school age at a zone school; and

(f)

either one or two additional members from persons who are members of community organisations in the area served by the zone schools.

(2)

Any member appointed under paragraph (1)(e) or (f) shall cease to hold office as a member of the Forum if he ceases to be a parent of a child of compulsory school age at a zone school or (as the case may be) to be a member of a community organisation in the area served by the zone schools.
