For section 24(1) there shall be substituted the following subsection:—

“(1)

The Committee may appoint as inspectors to assist in the execution of this Act such number of persons appearing to the Committee to be qualified for the purpose as the Committee may from time to time consider necessary or expedient, and may make to or in respect of any person so appointed such payments by way of remuneration allowances or other payments as the Committee may determine.”
