# The Offshore Installations (Safety Zones) (No. 2) Order 2013, Introduction: Introductory text


Offshore Installations
Made 16th December 2013
Coming into force 6th January 2014
The Secretary of State makes this Order—
(a) in exercise of the powers conferred by section 22(1) and (2) of the Petroleum Act 1987; and
(b) for the purpose of giving effect to proposals submitted to him by the Health and Safety Executive under section 24(2A) of that Act.
