# The Offshore Installations (Safety Zones) (No. 4) Order 2012, Introduction: Introductory text


Offshore Installations
Made 20th December 2012
Coming into force 10th January 2013
The Secretary of State makes this Order—
(a) in exercise of the powers conferred by section 22(1) and (2) of the Petroleum Act 1987; and
(b) for the purpose of giving effect to proposals submitted to him by the Health and Safety Executive under section 24(2A) of that Act.
