# Oxford University Act 1854, Section 11: Vice-Chancellor to continue a member.


If the Vice-Chancellor for the time being shall not be also an elected member of the said council, then, on the expiration of his term of office, he shall in virtue of his late office continue to be a member thereof until the next triennial election, or for the space of one year, if such election shall take place at an earlier period.
