# The Packaging (Essential Requirements) Regulations 1998, Regulation 5: Exclusion until 31st December 1999 of packaging complying with national rules in force on 31st December 1994


These Regulations shall not apply to packaging manufactured on or before 31st December 1994, placed on the market in the Community on or before 31st December 1999 and which complies with any health and safety requirements or any other Act or enactment with which it would have been required to comply for it to be lawfully placed on the market in the United Kingdom on 31st December 1994.
