  "heading": "Construction hours",
  "text": "(1) Subject to sub-paragraphs (2) and (4), construction and demolition works must not take place except between—\n(a) 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on weekdays (excluding public holidays); and\n(b) 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturdays (excluding public holidays),\nunless otherwise agreed by the relevant planning authority.\n(2) Subject to sub-paragraph (4), the following works are permitted outside the hours referred to in sub-paragraph (1)—\n(a) emergency works; and\n(b) works which do not cause noise that is audible at the boundary of the Order limits.\n(3) Any emergency works carried out under sub-paragraph (2)(a) must be notified to the relevant planning authority within 72 hours of their commencement.\n(4) No piling operations may take place after 6 p.m., unless otherwise agreed by the relevant planning authority.\n(5) For the purpose of this Requirement, “construction works”—\n(a) does not include—\n(i) the arrival or departure of personnel on the site;\n(ii) on-site briefings or meetings;\n(iii) the use of welfare facilities;\n(iv) non-intrusive activities, such as electrical installation and internal fit-out works;\n(v) archaeological investigations;\n(vi) landscaping works; but\n(b) includes start up, shut down and deliveries.",
