The Lord President of the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 26(2) of the Welsh Language Act 1993^f1, as applied by section 22 of the Representation of the People Act 1985^f2, makes the following Order.

f1: 1993 c.38; the Lord President of the Council is the “appropriate minister” for the purposes of section 27(4) of the 1993 Act. The relevant powers of the Secretary of State under the Representation of the People Act 1983 (c.2) are exercisable concurrently with the Lord President of the Council by virtue of article 3 of the Lord President of the Council Order 2010 (S.I. 2010/1837).
