The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 78(1) of the Trade Marks Act 1994^f1, section 36(1) of the Registered Designs Act 1949^f2, and section 123(1) of, and paragraph 14 of Schedule 4 to, the Patents Act 1977^f3, hereby makes the following Rules:–
