# The Patents (Amendment) (No. 2) Rules 2016, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 8th September 2016
Coming into force
for the purposes of rules 3(b), 9 and 17 6th April 2017
for all other purposes 1st October 2016
The Secretary of State makes the following Rules in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 19(1), 32(2) and 123 of the Patents Act 1977.
