The revocation is consequential on the coming into force of section 281 of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (c. 48) and the making of rules thereunder to authorise the Comptroller-General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks to refuse to deal with certain agents — see S.I.1990/1454 (The Patents Agents (Non-recognition of Certain Agents by Comptroller) Rules 1990).",
