# The Patents (Amendment) Rules 1992, Introduction: Introductory text

Made 11th May 1992
Laid before Parliament 11th May 1992
Coming into force
For all purposes other than rules 10 and 14 1st June 1992
For the purposes of rules 10 and 14 1st July 1992
The Secretary of State, in exercise of powers conferred upon him by sections 14(6), 18(1) and (4), 20(1), 25(3), 32(5), (6) and (7), 89, 89A(3) and (5), 123(1) to (3A), 124 and 125A(3) of the Patents Act 1977, after consultation with the Council on Tribunals pursuant to section 10(1) of the Tribunals and Inquiries Act 1971, hereby makes the following Rules:—
