  "text": "(1) These Rules may be cited as the Patents (Amendment) Rules 2002 and shall come into force on 1st April 2002.\n(2) These Rules shall apply to an international application for a patent (UK) in respect of which—\n(a) the national phase of the application has yet to begin in accordance with section 89A(3) of the Patents Act 1977 (international and national phases of application); and\n(b) the prescribed period in relation to that application for the purposes of that section immediately before these Rules come into force has yet to expire when these Rules come into force.",
