# The Patents (Fees) Rules 1996, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Rules)
These Rules revoke and replace the Patents (Fees) Rules 1995 (S.I. 1995/2164). The fees remain unchanged except that the fee payable for a substantive examination (Form 10/77) is reduced from £130 to £70.
