# The Payment Services (Amendment) Regulations 2024, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 9th October 2024
Coming into force 30th October 2024
The Treasury make these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 3(1) and 84(2) of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2023 (“the Act”).
The Treasury have consulted the regulators as required by section 3(6) of the Act.
