# The Pensions Act 2008 (Commencement No. 5) Order 2010

S.I. 2010/10 · made 5 January 2010

This Order brings into force sections 75 (in so far as not already in force) and 76 of, and Schedule 1 (in so far as not already in force) to, the Pensions Act 2008 (c.30) (“the Act”) on 5th July 2010. Those provisions establish the National Employment Savings Trust Corporation and make provision for its constitution and functions. This Order also brings into force section 99 of the Act which is an interpretation provision.

Pensions
Made 5th January 2010
The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 149(1) of the Pensions Act 2008.

## 1 Citation

This Order may be cited as the Pensions Act 2008 (Commencement No. 5) Order 2010.

## 2 Commencement of provisions

The following provisions of the Pensions Act 2008 come into force on 5th July 2010—
(a) section 75 (trustee corporation) in so far as not already in force, and Schedule 1 (the trustee corporation) in so far as not already in force;
(b) section 76 (functions); and
(c) section 99 (interpretation of part).
